388/241 bus stops at the top of the road
-
Full days only - but we do offer the option to select single days, as we know not everyone needs a full week.
Food and allergies
-
Please send a packed lunch with an afternoon snack, and water bottle - we provide fruit and extra water.
We are nut free!
-
We cater to all dietary requirements when cooking or baking and it's a nut free space.
-
Children can bring their own snacks - it's generally good for the afternoon.
Activites and routine
-
Sports, cooking, arts & crafts, trips, team games, freeplay!
-
We offer both! Children can choose their activities during freeplay and we have a timetable during some points of the day.
-
We go on local trips depending on what's on in the area and we also travel to museums via public transport. We usually get the bus as its more practical with children, but if time, distance and weather allows, we walk!
We always have the appropriate amount of children per adult for their age group.
-
Children are grouped by age unless it's an activity where the older children are supporting.
-
Always! We like for the children to be comfortable - we also encourage to join friendship groups especially with activities.
Safety, staff & ratios
-
All staff are DBS checked and safeguarding trained.
-
Our ratio is 1:8 - there is usually at least one qualified teacher present.
-
Yes we do and always have first aid kits and at least one first aider on day trips.
Our intake form when you book a holiday club will ask you to fill in your consent for ‘consent to treatment’ (use of plasters, administration of first aid).
We have four staff members on each trip to ensure all needs and safety met. We carry out a prior risk assessment as well.
Additional needs & medical
-
All staff have worked in schools and after school clubs for 3+ years, some are also SEND trained.
We can accommodate children who don't have extreme complex needs on the days where we have minimum of 2 SEND staff in. We can discuss this on email or over the phone if you prefer.
